Eileen Myers, a resident of Essex of Springfield, is bedridden and on a ventilator. Her dream was to see her granddaughter graduate from West Liberty-Salem High School

The first hurdle to overcome was getting her there. We contacted Lesley Stacey at Med-Trans. Lesley was very accommodating, and agreed to have Med-Trans personnel transport Eileen to West Liberty-Salem High School and care for her while she was there.

The second hurdle was the school — we thought it would be a bit awkward having a bedridden patient attending their commencement ceremonies. We contacted officials at West Liberty-Salem and they were extremely cooperative. They made sure that comfortable accomodations were ready for her when she arrived.
