Dreams Come True

The Senior Dream Center received a wish made on behalf of Ernest and Doris Murphy of Navarre, Ohio. The wish was a secret collaboration of Pastor Dave West of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church in Navarre, Ohio and our own Ed Hare, Managing Director of the Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Homes.

Ernest, a retired Methodist minister, has been battling cancer and his doctor gave him a reprieve from further treatment and suggested he and Doris take a cruise. While a regular cruise was out of the question, the hope of the dream team was to offer a day trip to enjoy the Lake Erie Islands. Ernest's health concerns had us scale back the plan but we still found a way to honor this dear couple and celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary. The Senior Dream Center was privileged to provide a solution by presenting Doris and Ernest with a VISA gift card that they can use at their leisure on dates and other fun stuff.

The Murphys received their wish as a "surprise" over coffee with Pastor Dave and Ed on Wednesday morning, July 22nd. We wish them every good wish and many more happy years together!
