"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a hope and a future."
— Jeremiah 29:11
Dreams Come True
This Dream fulfilled is bitter sweet. We have no pictures to share....just the story.
We received a call Thursday (September 18, 2008) from the Wellington Rehab Center in Urbana and they shared with us that one of their residents, Everett Snapp (84), was in very poor health and had not seen his daughter since 2003. We do not know why, but they had a falling out. All efforts by the Wellington to communicate with her over the last few years had not worked. Everett's great desire was to be reunited with her before he passed. Together with the staff of the Wellington's persistence, we were able to contact her and let her know the wish. She would not commit to come on that call.
Today (Monday, September 22, 2008) we found out that over the weekend, his daughter came from Dayton, brought Everett's grandson and they were able to reunite. This may have been all Everett was holding on for as he died this weekend.
We are all sorry that Everett has passed, but so grateful that he was able to reunite with his daughter and grandson before he left this world.
